The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducts the National Eligibility Test (NET) for the appointment of Assistant Professors.But this time Government of India established new Agency called NTA (National Testing Agency) to conduct Exam Like NET, NEET, JEE, CMAT, GPAT Etc. The exam is conducted on behalf of the University Grants Commission. It is also an eligibility requirement for the award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor. This year, the exam is scheduled to be conducted Online computer based test on Dec 2018.
Amendments in UGC NET 2018:
The exam pattern has been changed. Instead of three papers, there will be only two papers. However, there is no change in the syllabus. Paper II will cover the entire syllabus of respective subject.
The upper age limit for the award of JRF has been increased by 2 years. Earlier it was 28 years which is 30 years from the year 2018.
